In July 2025, TS Display created a custom split flap display for RWT Collective<\/a>\u2060, a trading card shop in West Los Angeles. Short for Real World Trading, RWT offers Pok\u00e9mon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering and other trading card games, and is also listed in PSA\u2019s official dealer directory<\/a>\u2060.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Featuring two rows of 20 characters and 40 modules in total, the display sits above the shop counter, bringing practical messaging and mechanical character to a space built around cards, collectibles and community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than a year later, the board continues to operate reliably and has become a signature feature of the store.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Why a Split Flap Display Instead of an LED Screen?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A conventional LED screen could display store messages, but its familiar digital appearance would add little personality to RWT\u2019s interior. A mechanical split flap display brings physical movement, the distinctive sound of flipping characters and something visitors can enjoy watching. In a shop where people appreciate tangible collectibles, that mechanical character feels at home\u2014making the board both a useful information display and a memorable part of the space.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
