A Busy July: Picture Flap Displays for Lindt and Siemens

A Busy July: Picture Flap Displays for Lindt and Siemens

July was a busy month in the TS Display workshop. During the month, we worked on two very different picture flap display projects for exhibitions in the United Kingdom and Germany.

Although both displays use mechanical picture flap technology, their module sizes, layouts and intended effects are quite different.

An Interactive Picture Flap Lottery Machine

The smaller display was produced for a Lindt exhibition in the United Kingdom.

It consists of 3 rows × 3 columns of 30 × 30 cm picture flap modules. In addition to presenting promotional graphics, the display was programmed as an interactive lottery machine for exhibition visitors.

The larger 30 × 30 cm panels create bold and clearly recognisable images. When each panel rotates, the movement feels strong and physical, making this module size particularly suitable for interactive games, retail windows, promotional installations and displays designed to attract attention from a distance.

A Large Picture Flap Display for Siemens

The larger display was produced for a Siemens exhibition in Germany.

It uses 6 rows × 16 columns of 20 × 15 cm picture flap modules to present Siemens fully automatic coffee machines, coffee products and technology-inspired visual content.

Because the 20 × 15 cm modules are smaller, more modules can be arranged within the display area. The higher module count provides greater image detail and allows more varied flipping sequences.

When many modules rotate in different patterns, the display creates a faster and more dynamic mechanical rhythm. This makes the smaller module format well suited to large exhibition walls, product presentations and branded visual installations.

Different Module Sizes for Different Effects

TS Display offers picture flap modules in multiple sizes for different spaces and visual requirements.

The 30 × 30 cm module provides stronger individual movement, larger image sections and clearer visibility from a distance.

The 20 × 15 cm module allows a denser image matrix, more detailed graphics and more dynamic flipping patterns.

There is no single module size that is suitable for every project. The best option depends on the installation area, viewing distance, graphic content, desired movement and available budget.

Offering different module dimensions gives clients more flexibility when planning a picture flap display for exhibitions, retail spaces and brand installations.

Completed on Schedule

Both projects were produced in July 2026 and involved different layouts, graphics and functions. We completed the production, programming and factory testing on schedule.

Exhibitions usually have fixed opening dates, so timing is an important part of every project. Our work includes module production, graphic preparation, software programming, interaction testing and final adjustment before shipment.

TS Display has experience producing both picture flap displays and split flap displays for exhibitions, branded events and commercial installations. Each project may look different, but our goal remains the same: to deliver the required mechanical effect and functionality reliably and on time.

July was busy, but it also demonstrated how different ideas can be realised using the same mechanical picture flap technology.
