TS Display’s Picture Flap technology becomes part of North Dakota’s America 250 exhibition
A New Milestone for TS Display
In 2026, TS Display reached an important milestone with the completion of our first direct project for a U.S. state government institution.
TS Display worked directly with the State Historical Society of North Dakota to produce a custom Picture Flap Display for ND250 Road Trip: Our American Story, an exhibition presented at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck as part of North Dakota’s commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary.
For TS Display, this project represented more than another international installation. It was the first time our mechanical display technology became part of a U.S. state government museum exhibition through a direct project with the government institution.

From China to a North Dakota Government Exhibition
The Picture Flap Display was designed, manufactured, programmed and fully tested by TS Display in China before being shipped to the United States.
TS Display provided wiring diagrams, installation instructions, software guidance and remote technical support to assist the local team throughout installation and commissioning.
After installation, the display entered public operation as part of the ND250 exhibition.
Today, the Picture Flap Display presents changing North Dakota landscapes, historic imagery, cities, communities and exhibition messages through physical mechanical movement, becoming part of the exhibition’s visual storytelling.

Successfully Installed and Open to the Public
After the exhibition opened, visitors began experiencing the Picture Flap Display as part of the ND250 museum environment.
Adults and children stop in front of the installation to watch the flaps move and follow the changing images, showing how the mechanical display has become part of the visitor experience rather than simply a static exhibition element.
The completed installation was also featured in local television coverage, providing further independent confirmation of the project in public operation.

An Important Step Forward
The successful completion of this project marked an important milestone in TS Display’s international development. It was our first direct project with a U.S. state government institution and brought TS Display’s Picture Flap technology into a major public museum exhibition.
From design, manufacturing and programming in China to international delivery, installation guidance, remote technical support and commissioning, the project demonstrated TS Display’s ability to support international museum and public exhibition projects from production through final operation.
The ND250 project marks an important new chapter for TS Display and strengthens our experience in delivering mechanical display technology for museums, exhibitions and public institutions around the world.
